As far as reliability goes, never had any real issues that stand out on the EA81's and 82's. As far as new gen stuff goes the most recent it the baja, bought 3 years ago with 80K on it, had a blown headgasket on it when I got it. Has 128K on it now, still has blown headgasket and except for the quart of coolant I have to put in it every 6 months there have been no issues, except routine maintenance on it. Still running the OEM T belt, that will get swapped out when the gasket set and headbolts come in, but that's a rundown of my personal experience with the reliability of subaru's. I won't bash any other car companies out there, but the only thing I choose to spend my money on is subaru
Sorry for the hijack, back to the purpose of the thread, I will choose the BRZ. :-)
