rear wheel bearing question

Wondering the proceedure for getting new rear wheel bearings ready for install. Are they disassembled somehow?
Thanks!!

The bearing comes out of the race and both the race and the bearing need to be cleaned of all packing grease. Electronics cleaner works very well to remove all the packing grease. If you're not skilled at auto repair I suggest using the proper procedure of calling a qualified mechanic with SVX experience. I just had both my rear bearings replaced recently and I hung out while they did it. It's not a simple task. I was amazed at how much work was involved. It was a lot more work than the front bearings on my '76 MG Midget.

I paid Jason (budfreak) $230 per side. Tom (svxfiles) quoted me the same price but Jason was a lot closer and the passenger side was really bad. Sometimes it's difficult to get in to see Jason, but once you are there he does really good work.

I have seen yours around in Canonsburg. I live over in Meadow Lands so I am up there all the time. I bought mine (3rd Pealry) in Blownox last April and I need to do some work on her. Little things, repaint wheels, reshoot spoiler and stuff like that. yours looks great man! We need a Washington meet
