is a stall a prob?

This has never happened before but my car stalled on startup the other day. When I restarted I had to give it a bit of gas to keep it from sputtering, then it ran fine. Just wondering if this is a problem? I don't know why its happening - its not like its really cold and my car was only sitting for a day. I just finished a 3k roadtrip.

Several months ago, mine briefly went through a similar spell. Began when backed it out of the garage for washing, then drove it back inside afterward. Started on the first hit, as always.

The next morning it stalled right after firing, and ultimately would start only with the accelerator depressed. And it only happened in the morning, never with a warm engine. The trouble gradually vanished within a week, and I concluded that something about starting the cold engine and running it only long enough to move the car a few feet (and then repeating) must have temporarily confused a component of the electronic engine management system, and it took a few days for it to regain its senses.

That's what I was thinking as well. Either bad fuel or dirty or clogged fuel injectors/fuel lines.

Get some Techron Fuel System cleaner and add it to your next tank of gas. That stuff is strong and will clean your system out completely!

You can get bad fuel from anywhere...especially just after they refilled their tanks stirring up any sediments.
