Its normal, but not a this time.

Hi, this normally happends when the engine is idleing above normal speed, like in the morning when you first start it up and the fast idle is still high. The signal from the TCU tells the engine, it is going to select 1st or reverse. In this case, it turns off every second injection, to cut the engine speed, which turns out to be all on the one side of the engine.

Looks like this signal is turned on. I am not sure if it is from the torque control, or from the inhibitor wiring to the ECU, as it only does it under this condition.

Harvey.

oab_au thanks for the input. I ran the car and unpluged each injector. only when I unpluged the left injectors did the engine start to stall. All the right injectors had no effect on the engine. Do you think that teh ECU is messed up to the point that it is not firing the right side injectors. The car runs terrible.
I cleared the engine codes and the left O2 code came back up. If the left side if the only side delivering fuel then it will be rich comparred to the right side.

I going to get a .454 magnum to fix it soon.

Steve

No a .357 magnum will do the job, no need to get the big guns out

No there is nothing wrong with the ECU, its doing what it is supposed to do under the signals it is receving. I would check the compatabilty of the different box to TCU pin outs, there may be some problem there.

The air/fuel ratio will be ok, just woun't inject every second cylinder. Will have the power of a 1650cc SVX.

Its in the wiring you have done, some where.

Harvey.

After a sleep*

It maybe, you have pulled a plug at the back of the cylinder head, or up at the ignition igniter block, on the bulkhead, that has turned off the spark to that side. When you did the job.
