Window tints

I was looking for a window in my car when the question came up:
is it blue tint or bronze tint?

I had a difficult time with this as it is hard to notice a factory tint at all. Even holding a white piece of paper behind the window it is still hard to tell.

I was speaking to a dealer friend of mine (who is a Toyota guy, used to work for Subaru and is fairly knowledgeable). He says the general rule of thumb is:

Grey interior=Blue tint
Beige interior=Bronze tint

Just thought I would put this info out there for those who might not know.

Of course I might just be colorblind!

You have the BLUE tint You can tell if 2 SVXes with different tints are sitting next to each other.

I don't think AU cars came with tinted glass....mine were tinted aftermarket (black) so will have to chase down someone with standard glass

Early JDM models with the black leather came with green tint.

I feel sorry for later JDM owners with the bronze tint, a replacement windscreen costs US$1900! Double the US price.
