Yeah I thought Aredub was coming...

No that is it for now, but Joel said he would let anyone with an SVX know about the site and the meet. So well see.

Oh and Ryan I didn't know you knew Joel? Anyways he said he looks forward to meeting you in person.

Unless he is the guy I complained about my rotors being a month overdue to all the time.

I wouldn't mind meeting him either.

Well got another email from a meet hopeful....

His name is Erik and he has a 92 Green SVX. He lives in Boulder, so much closer to you than me. He seemed pretty excited about the idea of a meet, however also adamant that he will NOT be racing. So he is planning on possibly coming down to spectate. He did say that he was expecting a baby in the next few weeks though, so he wasn't sure about being able to make it. He will let me know closer to the date.

Anyways......we really have to decide on a definate time and place where we will be meeting. You had suggested some gas stations, but I won't lie to you, I have no idea where they are.

I was thinking we just meet right at the race track around 6PM. There are plenty of places to park your car without being in line. I suggest we meet there and wait. I mean how many SVX's can there be there. Heck if there are more....all the better.

Let me know, unless you can think of an easy place for everyone.

Ryan

Well I will already be downtown so I was thinking that we could meet some where in your area. Red Robin by the mall, that would be easy for everyone to get to. From there we could all head down C470 to the track. I still think it would be cool as hell to see 6+ SVX's heading down C470 and all pulling into the track together. Well let me know what you think.

So how did Erik here about us? was he the one I put the note on the day before last?

Red Robin's sounds good...besides I tend to get dang hungry after 5PM. However we should still make it available to everyone to just meet us at the track as well. I'm worried that Chad or Erik might have to work a little later. I should be able to bolt out the door and be there by 5:15PM. I'm just worried that Erik will take I-70 to C-470 to get to the track...that is a good 20min closer than him driving all the way to the mall.

Not quite sure how he got my email, I think he may have read the post on the Yahoo site, that is how Chad found me. Not 100% on that though, he didn't really explain.

The guy I put the note on never replied...maybe I scared him/her. The person is only a few block from where I work (it is actually at the old building me moved from a few months back). I said that in my note...maybe I freaked them out.

Hey Ryan

I was thinking maybe we should start a new thread, so that people dont have to read all the post to find out whats going on.

So we have a date: Sept 5th 2001 we have a place bandimer unless we all want to meet in south Denver for a bite to eat, and we have some what of a time 5:30-6:00.

Let me know if I am off on anything here so that I will start the new thread with the corect info.

Are curent count is at 6 right?

If I missed anything let me know

Hmm might be a good idea...maybe we can just get Sith to delete our thread and we can start it over.

Here is who we have so far:

Myself (Highlands Ranch)
You (Broomfield)
fourth_beegee (CO Springs)
Chad (Englewood)
Joel (JC Sports)
Erik (possible, remember his possible baby, Boulder)

and maybe another....

I just found out yesterday at B52's that one of my friends I worked with before is best friends with an avid SVXer. He called him, but his cell phone was off, he promised to send him my info. He figures there is a good chance he will come.

So hopefully we are up to 7 people. BTW you missed a wild party yesterday....

AND WOOHOO I flew a plane this morning! Took my first trip flying a plane...now that is some fun $hit!

Later,
Ryan

Ok well the date is getting closer and closer..and we really aren't deciding on any specific times. So here is what I propose:

Meet at Red Robin's (Park Meadows) at 4:30PM for anyone who wants to eat something. Otherwise everyone meets at the track at 5:45PM (this will give us enough time to eat and get there).

Check in and get tech inspection. Find a nice open piece in the parking lot, where it will be easy for the rest of the other SVX'ers to find eachother.

Hopefully we can have everyone in a group, say all the hello's and start racing by 6:15PM.

Sound good?

Ryan

Hey Ryan

We should all plan to just meeting out at the track. I am not sure If I will drag or not, I have to get some work done on the car before then. And will school and work, its not looking like it will get done. Anyways 5:45 sounds good to me.
