Prize for being an SVX owner!
The day before Halloween I stopped in at a coffeehouse I frequent, and one of the baristas told me they have something for me behind the counter. She then handed me what looked like an SVX wall callendar! It has a picture of an SVX with an orange sunset/sunrise sky behind it, and "1992 Subaru SVX" pinted across the top. The back has a departing SVX in the same sunset and "SUBARU What to drive" printed on the bottom. It's in good shape with just a little rumpling, smudges, and wear around the edges. I asked her who left it for me, but all she said is what I'd already gathered, "A regular customers who saw you had one of those cars." It's actually an oversized brochure, not a calendar. A quick search of the Network revealed that it's referred to here as the "1992 dealership sales brochure". Here's a link to a thread with a picture: http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...=1992+brochure
There's a dealership card stapled to the inside front cover from Budd Baer Subaru in Washington, PA, but I'm not sure if that's from the person who left it, or if it's been there since '92. In addition to all kinds of large color photos of new SVX's, it's got two 3/4 view, cut-away, painted pictures of the engine and of the suspension elements in relation to the engine and drive elements. And the SVX on the cover has a lighted grille. Pretty cool, huh? Last edited by Brian; 11-07-2010 at 03:43 PM. |
