After parking the SVX in front, you didn't really need to do anything else. Improved the looks maybe 2000%.

I love Germany and Germans, but you see stuff like that over there every day.

Thank you for correcting that miscarriage of color.

I'll feel much better about coming to PA for the Reading meet, with that problem taken care of.

actually, that's the rear of the house. luckily, it was the only yellow part. the garage door gets painted tomorrow, if my back feels up to it.
the alternative was to paint giant Steeler and Penguin logos back there.

here's what i think the discussion with the previous owners went like:

"How about if we paint the rear of the house electric yellow?"
"Now you're talking! maybe we could get some plastic flamingos for the front!"

will genetic researchers ever find the gene responsible for bad taste?

OK, I feel all better now

A few years back my wife's family had a mini-reunion at a new house her brother had just bought (and was quite proud of). For weeks we sought out and bought pink plastic flamingos. Late the night before (after he was in bed) we let the flock "loose" on his front lawn - 35 flamingos makes a stirring sight.

My only regret is...well, I don't think I regret that one at all

Pink flamingos - trailer trash tacky.

Yellow flamingos - avant garde, priceless.

Ron.

Yes - right beside my collection of blue flamingos.

Yup - Smurphin' birds.

Pass the crimson to me, Jimson!

Ron.

Pink Flamingos Trivia !!

Let me just add this little bit of trivia.

Anybody know where they came from???

I DO! Leominster MA. Yup, Leominster (The Plastic City) has the proud distiction of being the starting place of it all. They still make them there, downtown. There's an old lady that's been hand airbrushing the beaks for decades. We even have a plastics museum to show them off.

Next time you see one, take a look underneath. Most will NOT say made in China or Taiwan. Leominster, MA.

There is a house just across the street from the main factory that has nearly all of the lawn 'trash' that they make. Little plastic knomes, Mary-in-the-Bathtubs, various farm animals, and of course many MANY pink and varied Flamingos

We are also the birthplace of one Mr. James Chapman. That's Johnny Appleseed to you all. In fact my street address is 507 Johnny Appleseed Lane. I get such a kick out of that address.

In case you all where interested......
