So what should i do first?
Well I am starting to hate my exhaust as its rattling and sounding real crappy right now. I get that popping from underneath the drivers seat if i rev it and let up and rev it and let up...just like a civic with the fart can muffler. The exhaust sounds normal after ive driven for a while which is pretty weird. But anyway my spoiler is also gonna need a repaint. So my question to you all is...which should i do first...my exhaust or spoiler repaint. Price range for both is going to be 150 each...with the exhaust costing a little more. ( hopefully anyway). I will probably be going with magnaflow and cutting the resonator out. Tried to post a poll but it didnt work

between the 2 exhuast first. paint is definatly last. my paint is fair lots of rock chips (do to ALASKA putting rock instead of salt down on the roads) but i want all proformance and handling before any body work and mods done.

id go with exaust, if its a leak you could be breathing in the fumes seeping into the cabin. it wont kill you but you'll loose some brain cells (no more than the average college student on a weekend bender).

If you hear the popping sound when the engine is cold, its likely an exhaust leak, probably between the secondary cat and the main pipe. You could try looking under the car to see if any of the bolts holding the two halves together have fallen off. Cheaper than a new exhaust would be to replace the gasket the goes between the secondary cat and the main pipe. The part itself should cost no more than $30. Labor shouldn't be more than an hour.

Easy way to locate the leak is to stuff an old sock/rag in the tail pipes to magnify the leak and safely stick your head under the car. (Car on a ramp/stands preferred)

Well im sure the resonator has crapped out because i get that nasty buzzing noise under acceleration....it just sounds nasty...has gotten worse in the past week too. Me and tomssvx are going to check things out tomorrow. I am hoping to get my exhaust done in 2 weeks.

My noise was the resonator. It had parts that had broken loose over time, and as the thing heated up the RPM resonance point changed. The symptoms were that the noise did not exist when the car was cold. After running the engine for 5 minutes it started rattling around 2,000 RPM. As its temperature changed the noise and the RPM point changed. I took it to Midas and they cut it out and replaced it with a straight pipe, for $50. It was worth it to not hear that rattle anymore!
