Introductory
Subaru SVX
Good day all.... Just wanted to introduce myself and my baby. I am the proud owner of a '92 SVX LS-L in Peacock Teal that roars (just a little) and turns heads everywhere it goes. I have a couple of dings to work out of her from the previous owner but just looks perfect to me. First off, I have never been one to follow the pack. When my boss didn't like my idea for a new product offering I started my own company. I asked my wife what she thought about kids on our first date (she responded, "They are crunchy and good with ketchup," it has been a fun four years.) and I have wanted a SVX since they debuted in '91. I have driven a Quattro Audi for the last 5 years so I understood "the beauty of all-wheel drive", but my SVX has blown away my previous experience. She handles like a dream in any weather, accelates willingly at any speed and is a joy in the driver's seat. My intention is to enhance the cars already fabulous charecteristics without sacrificing her fit and feel. I intend to add the Magnaflow exhaust cat back and the Stebro stainless steel headers when they come out with them in February. I am looking into a new fuel computer and am interested in balancing and blueprinting the engine eventually as well as reinforcing the trannie. Well, thats all for now. May all your days be SVX days. -Belar |

Belar! Welcome to the "Network." As you'll soon be able to tell, we are all "smitten" with this fine piece of rolling art. There are some of us who are "stick with stock" guys, others who modify the bejabbers out of their cars and still others who "do a little modding here and there." All are welcomed and everyone is expected to chime in. Judging from your wife's response to the kids question, she would fit in here with us also. Have her join us some time.
Again, welcome and thanks for introducing yourself. Look out for the "real" whackos here (Oh, heck, I think I may be one of them! ) Have a great week and a perfect Holiday season. (I can't believe it was 70 degrees here today in DE-FREAKIN-CEMBER!)

Seconded
I second that motion. Welcome Belar.
They are all nuts here. That's why I like it. If it gets too quiet, mention four wheel steer or 92 fwd. The goons come out of the woodwork. It is OK to like yellow cars, but better not to mention it. Oh, and it helps if you like whiskey or even bourbon. Joe
