Hi Gang,

This is just to let everyone know that since Randy left the "other" SVX club site, we have not seen the msg. 40 gremlim. I kind of miss that lil' bugger. Could it be Aredudb was posting too much ?

But the REALLY BIG NEWS is that Yahoo announced yesterday that they will be puting in a searchable data base. I am not sure, but I think it will go back to msg #1. Wonder-o Wonders.

Well, Larry, I am happy to have been able to fix that little bug for you. However, it may be worthy of note that since I've been on the Network, it has NEVER had the message 40 bug, and, has ALWAYS had a searchable data base -- not only for the Network, but, for the Yahoo site as well. So -- TAKE THAT! :P

My, my, my, you seem to be getting touchy. Sorry, no offense was meant. Maybe it's just age or the Holidays creeping up on y'all. Just wanted to tell the good news to everyone. It's always good to have a back-up for the (heaven forbid) "Just-In-Case" scenario.

i am going to say it and i dont care about the flack i may receive.

YAHOO SUCKS, I WILL NEVER GO THERE AND I COULD GIVE A DAMN HOW WELL THEY ARE DOING OVER THERE.

(sorry larry no offense to you or anyone who is over there.)

but they are not united, it is a joke. this is a group of caring people who all have a great love for this car. just how i feel, if i offended anyone i am sorry.

Yikes! That's a little "harsh." It's kinda like talkin' 'bout where I was "born." I left it, but it still holds a "special" place in my heart.

I agree Randy. I got my "start" over there. I still look at the posts.... just don't understand too much about what they are talking about...

When Randy was born in yahoo(maybe because he is old

), I guess I didn't know what was an SVX at all? And, I still don't know what does an SVX mean today?

I think I know who is Larry III first(from yahoo) before I know who is Randy. (Because Larry has two faces one in yahoo & one SVX network and because Larry III is older than Randy?

I have two faces because I registered svx network & yahoo club at the same time. I still try to hang out both sites with my limited time..

I personally think svx network is more organised & better. I think I should like here more but I still like to getting know svx & svx pple everywhere. If all the pple in yahoo & somewhere else can be combined & join here, there'll be so great so I don't have to run so many plcs.

PS: also, we have more cool faces here even sun glasses.

PS: has Larry found his way to change iii to III in yahoo?

Just to set the record straight, first, look to the left at the number of posts under my name. Now, consider that I was equally addicted to the Yahoo board. Now, consider that, if I were to give the same amount of attention to both boards, that I would not eat, sleep or go to the bathroom, and, therefore, perish.

I loved the Yahoo board, and the people I met. I miss many of them, but, I just can't split my time between the two. I had to find ONE place to settle, and, since I rallied to create this board, I felt obligated for this to be the ONE.

Also, it was my vision, and the vision of the others who started this board, to give SVXers ONE home . . . a place to bring a fragmented SVX society into one accord. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. I'm still hoping for that day, however.

So, am I not a part of Yahoo because "I think it sucks" or "I hate it?" NO! I'm not a part of Yahoo because I want to eat and sleep and go to the bathroom and not perish.

There is nothing "wrong" with the Yahoo board, especially since the 40-Bug has seemed to have been cured. I just had a choice to make. It was a tough choice at the time, but, I made it and I'm happy with it.

I too began my infamous career on Yahoo & it took me several aborted attempts to get myself situated here. My lack of automotive knowledge is only surpassed by my ignorance on all things with bits & bytes.
I DO visit the old neighborhood a few times a week, however, not just to visit Larryiii, but to check the "quality" of membership. There ARE a number of Yahoo posters that seem to exhibit "decent breeding" & continued SVX interest that I would like to see over here. So I see Yahoo as a "minor league" for recruitment of major league players at this site. Larry & I have dropped hints to check out THE NET for better organized answers to all the SVX questions.
