Ron,
The Yanks lost. Credit the Diasmondbacks for solving Rivera. It was a very interesting series. I rank it right behind my personal favorite; Boston Red Sox vs. Cincinatti Reds. While I feel bad for the Yanks, I am glad for Curt Schilling. I remember him pitching his heart out for the woeful Phillies year after year. I said all along that the Johnson & Schilling reminded me of 1963 with Kofax & Drysdale. In the end it came down to timely hitting, or lack of it on the Yanks part. Oh well, there's always next year. my friend and i were freaking out.
i was supposed they didnt take out schilling that inning. then he gave up the homer.....jesus i thought the series was over and that the yankees had it locked up. rivera has been unstoppable, but hey they pulled it off and they are the champs. great because i hate the yankees.
