i not only thought of selling my car.....
i was at the dealership about to trade it for a 2001 eclipse GT. this was before my suspension mods, wheels, everything. i had a noise after the replaced my transmission that they could not find. i was so frustrated that i almost gave up.
the only problem with this car is you cant find anyone to work on it. you almost have to become somewhat of a mechanic yourself. anyway i finally found out was wrong and the love affair resumed. the only thing that will make me sell my svx is if i am spending more on it then it would cost me for a new car. you figure the average car note is around $300-400. that means if i spend less than $4800 a year on the car i will keep it. of course if something electrical goes wrong she is gone because i am not dealing with that mess. i really do love everything about the car. even after three years of owning this car i am still struck by the lines and the styling. just a muscular well designed car. especially now that mine is lowered i love the low slung scowling hood. plus the car begs to be driven fast. ahhhhhh.......automotive paradise!!!! randy thanks for the hug....you know.....sometimes.....(fighting back tears).....we all.....need to feel loved.

Rear view
<To steal a quote from Monty Python: 'There's love in that car!'>
Hopefully not in aft part of the cabin. Remember the plastic fuel tank is under the back seat.... Don

What a great group of people.
I have to agree with all of you. This is a wonderful site w/wonderful people who love their cars to death.
No competition here. I have to admit though that I've been sporting the idea of a new BMW these past 2 months and I'm about to go test drive one today, but after reading these posts I'm having second thoughts. There are so many things wrong w/my car and I hate having it in the shop all the time. So I figured get a new bmw and trade the svx in. But, once again, YOU svxers saved the day. Thanks guys... this doesn't mean that I'm not testdriving this weekend. Kathy |

why not sell your current svx.
then go find one in really great condition. maybe a 96 or 97? i will admit that i love bmw too. i like the m series roadster, the one that kind of looks like a stationwagon a little. if you know bmw's then you know the car i am talking about. dual exhaust real agressive looking car. bmw does a good job. i know the frustration of having a car with tons of problems, kind of takes the fun out of the experience. good luck.

Is it just me, or have we been able to get by without an out and out flame war since . . . well, for a long time.
(kick, kick, damned dead dog! )
