That's a nice price for a clear corner. I wonder what he'd do for that tailbar?

Re: seeing this svx made me :'(

All the parts that were left on that car . The wing alone is worth a few bucks. We are going to look back in a few years and wish we saved a lot of parts. Could not tell if the precious windshield was still good . Other glass looked good. Seats and window controls etc. Parts from that car could completely restore my Pearlie .

Holy frijoles, I wonder what caused this.

Looks like the SVX was making a left turn and got hit at high speed by truck about halfway through.

Re: seeing this svx made me :'(

The hit might be from something hitting it near head on... but the rear 1/4 and bumper tell a different story... highspeed loss of control and finding a tree/pole at an angle. Looks like it went into a ditch first before it found said tree.

Re: seeing this svx made me :'(

if you look carefully there doesnt seem to be any crumple where the passenger is, i'm sure if there was 2 passengers they walked out of that crash just some glass and whiplash

Re: seeing this svx made me :'(

I was gonna post something about that...
The SVX in the picture is 94', from Israel, i am positively sure i know how to reach the driver of that car and ask him how the **** he manage to mess up that car so bad (i have never seen on the net an SVX totaled so bad).

In Israel there are more or less 6 million people, and more or les 25 SVX, the chances that the person who own the junk yard that have that SVX was one of the owners of my SVX in the past is very very very low, and guess what? it some how did happend!
The owner of the junk yard doesn't handle private pepole, only garages, but becuase he has sentimental value for my car he agreed to sell me what ever i want from that car (i want to buy the whole car but he refuses).
He kept that SVX 9 years...
I gave him a really long list of parts i want from it.

I will appreciate you guys if no one bid on the marker (it doesn't have the orange reflector that the US version have and is very rare for me to find), he disabled the bidding option to Israel so i can't bid on it myself.

updates about that car soon,
Erez

Yeah but there are wormholes all around West Virginia so you folks are constantly traveling back and forth in time. That's why West Virginia is the way it is.....

Re: seeing this svx made me :'(

Updates!

Two months ago i spoke with the junk yard owner, he promised me he will check what good part left on the car and return to me.
I waited a month and he didn't seems to care to much about it, he even sold the item on ebay instead of saving it to me, so I set him a fact that i am coming Sunday morning with my SVX and an empty trunk (3 weeks ago).

I came to the junk yard and after small conversation he told me to wait at the gates, after 10 minutes a fork lift came with an SVX, i looked at it and something seemed strange, it wasn't the SVX from the pictures! they have another!

Both cars had front accidents, both of them in 2002, the car from the add on ebay was dismantled, I don't know when but some parts of it are kept on shelves.

So the SVX i saw was under the sun for 10 years, a lot of nice parts like the steering wheel without air bag that i am dying to find are ruined
In 2002 he had the SVX i owned now, my ecu is from that car and i won't be surprised if it's not the only part.
A week ago i received a lot of parts from that car:
