I saw a satin black skyline here once, black rims with red lip. Also an intercooler the size of a third world country, and RHD. I didn't like the look very much, something about it just didn't work right in my mind.

Re: Satin Black - A primer (pun intended)

I could see a flat black SVX... with a few caveats.

The roof and trunk top should be glossy black, and the windows tinted.

dark or black wheels, possibly with red-line rims. Possibly these:

and a red pin-stripe on the car's belt-line, sort of an SR-71 Blackbird theme... I could see it not being horrific.

Re: Satin Black - A primer (pun intended)

sad car. sad sad sad. I think my favorite (not) part is the painted over foglights. Don't even mention the tiny little hole left for headlights.

I dont think the plate on that Benz is legal.

Re: Satin Black - A primer (pun intended)

I just don't get why people would pay to make their cars look unfinished.

Re: Satin Black - A primer (pun intended)

no, unfair. I certainly dont think it has an unfinished appearance. How about the delorean? did THAT look unfinished?

I kinda like the idea, and tho I wouldnt paint my car that color, I enjoy the variety of other peoples tastes and would like to see a nice svx this way.
