exhaust problem
my exhaust always sounds really raspy
especially when my pedal is pushed at that exact spot where im going 40 mph i dont know much about what could be the problem and quite frankly idk where to even start to look to find/examine where the problem might be any help would be appreciated thanks

It sounds like it might be the center resonator (right behind the main cat). This is a very common problem on our cars. See part #2 in the diagram below. Does it sound like a "buzzing" or a "can of bees" upon acceleration? It should probably be most annoying at around 2000-2500rpm. It can easily be cut out and replaced with an aftermarket resonator from Magnaflow, etc. Some have just eliminated it all together and replaced it with a piece of 2.5" exhaust pipe .

you can cut it out and put a pipe there but some people have said the car makes a "fart" sound with it removed... yet to cut mine out... its doing the same thing

I have replaced mine with the Aero Turbine AR25 2.5" stainless steel resonator. You can get it for about 57.00 from Aero Exhaust at http://www.aeroexhaust.com/import_resonator_ar25.html
svxfiles has used these resonators on many exhaust systems, including his own, as well as mine HERE   .
