has anyone tried this? Just going for the Lexus/S2000 thing.

so how easy was it? or was it not worth it at all. I would ultimately like to get rid of the ignition lock, or maybe relocate it, because the steering column might be changed

Push button start is pretty easy to do on the SVX. There are only 4 wires on the ignition harness and that's all you'd have to interface to. You would just need a couple of high current SPST switches or a DPST switch for the ACC & IGN wires and a push button for the START wire. Of course you'd still need to deal with security, as anyone could turn the switches on and push the button.

Isn't that why there is an alarm? If they stole it, it wouldn't be hard to spot on the road, how many SVXs have you seen in a year? BTW what are SPST and DPST?

There are a few that have been stolen in the past year, not all have been recovered


Single Pole/Single Throw

Double Pole/Single Throw (edit thanks to kuoh

They refer to the switch mechanism, wherever you buy the switch should be able to help you identify them if they aren't marked like that on the package.
