How much more would the Superbird be worth if the tranny was actually factory original? (numbers matching)

There's an orange one here in Winnipeg that seriously looks like it just came off the showroom floor. That one belongs in a museum. The one on e-bay doesn't impress me...especially at that price.

Steve,

That was really sad. Go to my locker. Look in the JEG Car Show folder. There is a picture of a 440 magnum Super Bee there.
It was parked next to TV Tommy's orange Road Runner on one side and a dragging wagon Stang.

Or would you prefer the hot dog truck again.

I'm not sure. I have seen them on eBay unrestored with numbers matching going for about 50 grand. I'm not a huge fan of the color but that's what paint is for. (I'd make it yellow)

i'd like Joe Dirt's Superbird - that was sweet! then a "screaming eagle" Trans-Am, an old Shelby Mustang with the 12 or so vents and scoops on the hood.....and a magnificent mullett.

That literally brought tears to my eyes... very depressing to see rare and beautiful cars being treated like that. And some of those stories... "the owner doesn't car about cars at all, but will NEVER sell". WHY??!!!

As for the one on Ebay, it seems way over priced considering it's not even all original.

Now they've gone too far!

Now I've seen it all! Some tasteless jerk actually went and riced out a classic hemi charger like that and has the nerve to charge that kind of money for it!?

What is the world coming to?

PS: That looks like an awesome Superbird but not worth the money without the original tranny. That's not the only thing about it though that I feel is not kosher... I can't put my finger on what exactly but even if I had the money I think I'd shy away from that particular one.

He actually had a Daytona, not a superbird.

They're different cars, they don't share any sheetmetal whatsoever.

The reason that thing costs so much is because of the mileage. 24,000 miles? Thats insane.
