Yeah, sure, that's an OEM radio cassette. It should have the 12 disc CD changer in the boot to match the head unit.
How come you don't recognise it? Do you have something more modern in yours? Joe

My SVX came without a head unit so I bought a double DIN Subaru unit, I think it's from an 2001 Impreza, looks the part and sounds good.....I also bought a double unit out of an American SVX, but I was told the radio would'nt work on UK wave lengths so I left it at that...........why give the UK car all the toys but half the head unit with the black blanking plate, looks unfinished

I have had a couple of different types. The JDM one had single CD plus radio cassette [double din]. Stations on the tuner were wrong frequency, but I fixed that. It had six speakers, including the tweeters on the dash. Strangely the two UK cars I have had used the single head unit with the changer in the boot. They only feed 4 speakers, and they don't use the tweeters. But what is odd about this is the sound quality. With 4 speakers the sound quality is better than that of the JDM unit using 6 speakers! I can only presume it is a top quality head unit and it gets the best out of the speakers. Joe
