HI guys a little history,

i have a 94 lsi, i just put a bronz windshild in it about 3 mounths ago. and shure enough it got broke last week, so i call my glass lady, she says she can no longer get the bronze, she also says that there were green blue and grey(grey i knew) anyway i call my brother in law who is a subaru only mech, and one of the guys in his shop has 10 or so svx's(parts and running) anyway. he dos a dealer search and after 2 days and about 40 phone calls locates 2 bronze windshilds. thats it no more..... if you have a bronze one in your car call your dealer and try and find one if you can there might still be a few out there. anyway i gess my lsi is going to the scrap heap(become the 11th in the pile at my brother inlaws work) anyway sucks for all the svx owners

ps when i got the new one put in 3 mouths ago there were 80 bronze ones left now none

so your going to scrap your car because of a different color windshield?

I've got a bronze one in my parts car, which is supposed to have a blue one. Maybe I should hang onto that one, it is flawless.

Tailgatewagon, why don't you advertise your car on our forum and ask your brother in law's friend if he is willing to sell these cars or at least some of them.

At least they go to homes which appreciate them better (no offense).

NO offense taken,

i do love my svx. but i wont have one with a green windshild in it if the rest of the glass is bronze these arnt beater cars and i would like mine to be in presentable shape not a buch of miss matched pieces, it would be like having a blue hood on a red car for me,

this is my first because ive only been lurking, for 3 years or so. my car has ben almost flawless and i havnt had much to contribue, as to the post being a waist of time maybe,

please understand that the only reason i posted this info was to allert everyone on this forum that windshilds were almost or alread gone. if you want one do what needs to be done to find one or your car is junk when the windshild gets busted like mine.......

my svx is almost worthless. here at the specs

94 lsi
251k
3.9 trans.
small dent on left rear
right rear has had small dent fixed
right door has rust from trim hole.
left front fender has small dent and rust at said dent just above the bumper
front bumper has hole in it from trailer hitch(priviouse owner) damn spelling
rear bumper is flaking
sun roof has dent from tree branch in hittin it.

and now it has a crack right acrost my line of sight.

anyway its been a great 2500.00 car that i have put 60k on i would like another one someday........

as to the cars my brotherinlaw has most of them got hit buy a big hail storm last year dented every frigen one of them........
