Car show :-)

I entered my SVX into a local car show at the request of a friend. He said that they has all kinds of classes - Foreign, motorcycles, trucks, classics...And I won 1st place in the foreign vehicle class

Little subie was surrounded by muscle cars but everyone came by and showed interest.

Matter of fact, the subaru was the ONLY car in the foreign class but hey, the wife said, 'A win is a win.'

Anyways, it was a pretty good time because I was surrounded by awesome cars, pretty good food, and car friendly people.

Re: Car show :-)

Stole a win Cool.

Nice SVX. I love the black. Looks so much better than most of the two-tone ones I've seen.

Re: Car show :-)

Ha Ha good one. That's how a lot of dogs get their title "Show Champion" at dog shows, after which they can be bred for high bucks.

Get a feww more wins and we may see the value of our cars going up!

Re: Car show :-)

Honestly, I bet if you took a really good condition SVX to an import show you might win something. They're definitely rare enough.

Re: Car show :-)

Hey, what are you saying here SubaROO, that my car is not 'really good condition'??? You better not because I've got a trophy to show for it. :-)

I used to have my tag read 'SubaRue' but I gave it up cause I didn't want to pay the extra dollar.

Re: Car show :-)

Extra dollar? Wow. Here in FL they're $25 a year

And no, I definitely love your car. That hood scoop even looks good on it. Not functional, is it? If so, it's twice as cool.

Re: Car show :-)

I'm used to feeling out of place at car shows, my SVX hasn't been to a show yet though. Last fall I went to Food Lion Autofair at Lowes Motorspeedway with my daily driver, a 1975 AMC Gremlin, out of the couple thousand cars there, I was the ONLY Gremlin. This past spring show was a little different, they were auctioning off a fairly large AMC collection, so there were a few in the auction and another one with me in the club.
