oil psi port

So where's the best place to tap into for accurate oil psi?
Got me Autometer electric psi and temp gauges to install.
Search doesn't show much anything. Just gauge installs.

Re: oil psi port

The factory switch is installed in the block in the area between the alternator and the p/s vane pump. That is the only port for pressure test you could get at I think

Re: oil psi port

You could also get one of those oil filter sandwich adapters. Greddy makes one, as well as other name-brand companies. Basically, it just goes between the filter housing and the filter itself and has a bunch of different ports you can use as oil feeds or pressure lines. Also handy if you're turbocharging a car and you need to run oil pressure lines to the turbo, FYI.

Definitely an easy way to go.

Re: oil psi port

i'm gonna have to look to see if i can access OE port 1st.
but the sandwich is what i was thinking i might have to do.
having a oil temp gauge to install also
I might just get another sensor and a switch,
so as to toggle between trans and engine temp.
so maybe i'll find i need an oil cooler to match my trans cooler,
if i can find the room to mount it.
