which is exactly why i wanna build blueprinted+mild headwork/5 angle valve job.
1 5/8 headers and an adjustable fpr should get me a lil better than stock.
but w/ mo betta power.
if i had an 5/6 MT, i'd go standalone ecu.
but i wanna keep the AT for now.
maybe after this engine i'll wanna go something more radical.
need to learn subbie internals like i know sbc's.

but at least i got the magnaflow muffler.
now i gots ta find the time to slice'n'dice and weld some exhaust pipe.

How much were you planning to spend for the head work? I may be able to help you there. Let me talk to my guy and see what he'd charge or any kind of info he can give.

Re: EG33 builder's, you know who you are...

Well, good news. I've got a company that will make pistons for us at a good price.

It's not the original brand I was hoping for, but they are not out of the picture yet.

This is just a post to let you know "for sure" I've found a company.

I'm discussing more with them about different compression ratio's, final pricing, ease of purchase, etc....

These will NOT be sold through me, they will be available from the maker/distributors.

More info to come.......

Dustin, I think everyone can make a set of pistons for the SVX, you just need to send them out a spare OEM one with the specs that you want.

Yeah, at custom pricing.....

I'm talking about having a shelved item with part#'s for ease of ordering. So not everybody has to go and do all the work themselves contacting various companies and sending out pistons.

I'm sure most people here don't want to tear apart their motor and then ship a piston off to people to have things done.

It'd be alot easier if we could just call up some company and say "hey, I need Eg33 pistons in this(such and such) comp ratio...."

That's what i'm trying to do here.

No need to tear it down... Cost is around $1000.

Talk to Ron from Raw Performance, he can get you EG pistons (in any comp. ratio you'd like)......it will be alot less than $1k

No need to send anything to them. Just email ron, tell him what you'd like. Receive your pistons 4-5 weeks later.

If that is the case the pistons might cost <$1000
but the shipping would kill any savings.
I just had a roof rack shipped from AU, shipping was a 1/3 of the total cost.
