If the picture is too big, it will not take it. If it is small enough, but still too big, it will load it but will show it at a smaller size.

Multiple photo uploads?

Is there any way to submit more than one photo at a time? I don't want to manually upload a hundred Dabob and NWSVX Fall Colors Tour 2007 photos one at a time.

Perhaps the site could let us upload a zip file containing a bunch of photos? (the Photopost software website says that's a feature, but it didn't work when I tried it...)

The "Retrieve all images from a URL" function at the bottom of the uploads page didn't work for me either. Nuts.

Hope it's a new question

Are the megs of storage per member level fiscally stackable?
ex: 1st year I can get 25 megs (silver) and a year later can I (with new silver level donation) get another 25 megs...
does this Q make sense?
Just wondering how it will work as this is a new concept to me.

The way it works is this:

First year you donate at the silver level - at the end of the first year, it goes away and if you want it again, you donate at the silver level and it is there for the next year. If you don't donate the next, it goes away.

So, if you want more storage, donate at the gold level.

I hope that helps. There will be some overlap, so you will have a chance to update your donation before it goes away. We will be posting this in the near future for members.

Earl,
On a somewhat related point.....how can we have images in our gallery storage show up in threads? I've tried to use the "insert image" feature and all it does it create a link to the gallery image.
Thanks.

Like this??

Maybe it takes a NON rocket scientist to do it

Right click on the picture -> "copy image location" in FF or "view image" -> even you should be able to figure it out from there

Dave,
nice, real nice
problem is, I'm doing exactly that "copy image location" then pasting it into the window that pops up when you click on the square icon that has mountains and the moon(?) in it. This results in the following:

[IMG]http://www.subaru-svx.net/photopost/...bo-closeup.jpg[/IMG]

which, as you can see, just gives me a **!!## link and not the pic. If I do exactly the same thing for images in my "locked up" locker, I get the following:

(nice pic, right?)

looking at things closer, it looks like the code is placing a [url]xxxxxx[url] around the address, inside the [IMG]....[IMG] when you go from the gallery versus the locker....which, if I manually remove results in.....

(oops, didn't want to show this yet.....)

-Bill

Dave,
Check my earlier post. When I take the URL that is created when viewing an image in the new "Member Gallery" and paste it into the field that shows up when you click on the "Insert Image" icon in the "Reply to Thread" window, the software places the [url] around the pasted in address (along with the [IMG] tags). The [url] tags don't show up when you follow the same process from the lockers. Maybe it's a "Mac thing"??

I am following your directions, only I am using IE7.

Bear with me here...

Well, I dont know why you are getting URL in yours. Unless you are linking the image, posting it, and then going back and editing it to add the IMG tags...

If you only put the URL info in, you will get this...

When you copy a url, it has the http:// in it already. So when you go to add a pic and hit the icon in the posting box, it automatically adds it. I always remove it by backspacing (or right click/delete). Then paste your url in the space.
Did I repeat anything already said?

I think this may be what's happening...

FYI - Microsoft hasn't updated IE for the Mac for years, so the last version they issued for the Mac has security holes in it you can drive a truck through
