It is as much fun playing with the subi in the woods as it is smelling the 110 octane Huskey exhaust!

I prefer Stihl myself, but would certainly have fun with this beast. It was at a log show several years ago in a town close to me. Its a Buick V6 and takes a couple of good sized guys to handle.

The way I figure it almost 100% of wedding gifts are really for the bride. Do you remember opening all that crap? How many crystal serving plates does a man need? None. Why not give something that you know the groom will use and in the unfortunate event of a divorce he might actually get to keep.

I've given or co-given a ruger 10/22, A 30-30 carbine, an over and under shotgun, & 2 chainsaws for the weddings I've been to in the past few years. I received a 10/22 for my wedding and it was the best gift I got - and probably the only gift I can actually remember.

At the wedding that we gave the chainsaw there was also an electric trolling motor with a bow on it sitting on the table of presents. Another great gift idea for a man!

Why does the V-6 have 8 PIPES????? Looks like a 310 Wildcat to me!
The one I had was a lot of aluminum with a cast block. I haven't seen an old 'nail head' for about 10 minutes! ( I just walked to the beer fridge, where 5 nail heads lurk).

I really need to get 'creative' with some of them..............

Nicolson FILES!!!

I went to the 100 plus year old Hardware store today and put in a supply of Nicolson files to make the Husky happy!

They cost a little more but I really LIKE what they do to a chainsaw!

I was hacking up some wood the other day with the 'old' Poulan. My neighbor came over and said, " I REALLY like the sound of that SAW!"

I told him that I would fire up the big one if he wanted me to, but I really didn't need it. I don't know if it was the racing gas or the really sharp chain that 'excited' him.

The saw I was using has already been 'replaced' 2 times!

I keep 3 saws in the 'stable'. One for the little stuff in the woods, one to knock down the big stuff and one to cut them out if they get bound up.

I use the oldest saw when I'm home, since it is the most likely one to give me trouble due to years of abuse. It also saves the others from accessive wear when I cut the wood to 'fit' the stoves.

I try to buy a new saw every 3 years and the 9 year old saw gets sold off for $25., which will buy a couple new chains.

I thank God that I don't have to pay $3.00 per gallon for my heat! I will cut wood as long as I can drag it to the truck and feed the woodburner!

I saw a show on TV while I was on the 'Injured/reserve' list. This guy had a Buick V-8 on a saw that took 3 seconds to get through a 16 inch log!!! It was a 310 Wildcat, with a lot of aluminum.

It was the very saw that was posted on this link!!! I had the same engine in a Buick!! It got me into so much trouble!!!!!!!!!
Mine didn't have the headers and stuff, but it had enough power to push my 64 Buick Special station wagon almost into the 'Darwin Awards'..Special Mentions......

It DID handle, so I didn't make the 'big time'....

+1

And you'd put my Mini Mac 60 to shame... (Not bad for the $20 it set me back, but it's only a 15 incher, I need to beef it up..
I wish I had been thinking when I was at Lowe's and saw that someone had put a $170 price tag on the $380 Husqvarna saw...

I guess I saw a 'RE-RUN' from the show that you were at! The guy mentioned that he wanted to try it on a REDWOOD!!!!

I think that it would WIN in a fight with the redwood......

24 inch diameter ... BRAAAP, done!

got 'happy-pants' just watching it on TV!!! couldn't imagine what 'wood' have happened had I actually HEARD the Buick!!!

I think that I will go 'lay hands' on a nailhead!!!... I feel better now, I just just touched a 425 nailhead! I guess I need to drag it out from under the workbench and WELD IT ONTO sumpthin'!

A crashed SVX maybe??????????
