Dynamat
I dont know if any of you have experience with this stuff, but I do have a sub in the back of my car, and plan on ordering a Dynamat Trunk kit. Is it easy enough to lay out without having some kind of roller? The trunk of the SVX isnt exactly complicated.. Let me know if any of you have an idea for an alternative to dynamat as well...Thanks.

Dynamat is easy to use, if you are gettin the kind that comes in sheets, just cut to fit. It also would hurt to get the 'dynamat in a can' - the spray stuff, just to fill in the spots where u cant get the sheeting on. Also keep in mind you are adding more weight to the car as the stuff isnt the lightest around . Oh, as a tip make sure you put a good bit behind where the license plate goes to prevent it from rattling.

I've used FatMat on the inner surfaces of the doors and it definitely helped.

Re: Dynamat
I am in the process of doing the interior of my SVX I have the main floor area below driver and passenger seats and trans tunnel done. I am working on the doors now. Did you guys do anything specific for the area where the latch rods go through the door panel? Most pictures show a nice smooth dynamat covered door and kind of unrealistic.
The stuff isn't hard to install just not my favorite thing to do. I actually bought one dynomat kit, dynomat door kit, and 60sqft of Edead. The Edead is actually a great product for the money. when looking at it compared to the dynomat the only real difference I see is the Edead aluminum sheet is slightly thinner and has no graphic printed on it but I figure this will work for the trunk and some of the other obscure areas that would cost me a fortune to do with a full dynomat set up. |

Re: Dynamat
I was ging to use liquid edead. But then I got lazy. The problems I have are coming from panels wit broken tabs. Those are definitely the first thing to replace if they are broken.
