i don't think they should be banned. i think people should be aware that they may not be a reliable source for parts.

I know Mike Davis... Known him since my first Reading meet about 3 years ago... He is a nice guy and I'd hate to see him banned. He was just like me. A younger member completly infatuated with SVXi.

Yes, Mike has owed me money (roughly $100) for about 9 months now... Yes, I have called his phone and left countless voicemails reminding him that I need the refund... I even offered to lower the amount refunded just so I could get some of it back... No contact has actually been made since Febuary of this year.... No calls, no email, no IM's (and I have all of his IM's, which he is NEVER on them.... So he probably blocked me)...

I don't want Mike banned... I want my $100 back... I have learned my lesson... I will never again do business with him, and encourage everyone else on the network to do the exact wame... However, like I said, I don't want him kicked out of the community that he has been apart of for the last 5 or 6 years... I believe that if everything gets repaid, then everything will be fine and we can all use this as a lesson learned...

Greenmarine, but who wants people like that around! This sight has been a tremendous resource and i have developed many friendships because of it.
I mean don't you take this personal?!?!?! You know mike, and so do i, and he did this to us, imagine what he does to strangers!! Mike Davis has taken advantage of this forum and we all have given him the benefit of the doubt, until now. I've had enough of his lack of responses, and when he does respond his bull**** excuses, and his bounced checks!!!

Lets remember we banned that other guy a while back (can't remember his name) Chicane? for simply being an ass, as far as i know he didn't rip many of the members here off, we set a precedent there. If we banned chicane, the actions mike davis has taken and have not taken more than warrants his ban!!!

You do have a very valid point... I see and respect that... I just wish that he would resolve this mess so banning doesn't have to be the course of acton...

i completely understand your position as well greenmarine, and as i set the anger aside i think back to all the times mike davis helped me out when i first got my svx! Part of the hostility comes from him completely ignoring me, and apparently many others, i would be 100X's more understanding if i were included in the loop and understood his position. But mike hasn't done that and chosen to take the easy way out by ignoring his problems and obligations.

It truly is a sad state of affairs when someone like this, who has contributed so much has harmed members at the same time.

Blueclaret, Slon, 1vs1vs1, CopsodyX, etc have all had the brunt of the network against them. Not only did people want them banned, but a few were threatened with bodily harm.

Personally I think Mike should be dealt with even more strictly than they. He's a frickin admin, what kind of example does that set?

I think the only thing that can resolve the situation now is a public apoligy from Mike to the network... Then personally written PM's to each of the members that he has "hurt"... Then followed up with him taking care of business...

It looks like the decision will be made for him unless he shows himself and pay's his debts...

hmm..you do make some very valid points.

newbie members that cheated others in the past were banned. it's alot harder to deal with someone that you've known for a while over a new scammer that no one knows.

it's a shame that he took this route because i think he's an alright guy. then again, depending on the dollar amount, i don't know if i'd be making a 10 hour road trip to PA if he did the same to me.

heck i wanted drive up to canada to flatten Dan's face after not getting my sterbo for a few months, then only shipping 2 of the 3 parts, then not shipping the right part.

i sure hope he does the right thing and contacts you guys about your individual issues.

I know Mike as well... I have bought a vehicle from him in the past... long before his business ventures. There were many things that I too was promised, that never came to be.

But all in all, yes he is a good person, but he is a ****ty businessman, PERIOD.

He is an admin on this board, nice example to set for the masses.

Rip someone off, you're banned, unless you're Mike... BS I say. Does he need to be banned immediately, or at all. I dont know. But to let him sit there, with admin powers, and rip people off with zero reprecurssions... Well, thats just CRAP.

I have learned my lesson in dealing with Mike also.

I am back in NJ. If there are any Effective Auto related issues, I am doing my best to resolve them. If anyone has any concerns or questions, please call me at 609 296 0437.

Thank you so much everyone, for allowing me to remain a part of the SVX community. I sincerely appreciate it, and I will do whatever necessary to restore any lost trust or faith in ME or MY business practices.

I have very limited resources currently, but I am trying to get back on my feet and fix any outstanding transactions. The recently ended ebay auctions will ship next Monday at the latest.

Thank you again, and please do not hesitate to call me if there are any concerns.

Cudo's (spelling?) to you Mike Milan, it takes a man to stand up when things like this have happened. Starting a business is an extremely risky venture, especially a partnership. I wish you luck in all your efforts to correct what has happened.
