Need 5-speed conversion help!

I read the article in the How-to section about 5-speed conversion, but I still have a couple of questions.

Is there a washer or anything you put between the flywheel and engine, or is it bolted up directly?
Did you use the flex plate torque settings (51-55 ft/lbs) for the flywheel bolts?
Threadlocker?
Is there a specific amount of freeplay the flywheel should have?

Any other tips people that have been there done that feel free to send them my way. I want to get my engine mounted to my Porsche transmission as soon as I can. Thanks

Kent,
On the SVX 5-speed swap, the flywheel bolts straight to the crank...just like the flexplate does, but you will need Manual Flywheel bolts as the flexplate ones aren't long enough.

No spacer is needed for the Subaru Tranny (but maybe needed on the adapted Porche tranny)

The Flex plate torque settings are fine.

Invaluable, Tom. Not unvaluable.

No, wait. Unvaluable could mean priceless if you are saying it can't be valued, yeah?

Hmmm.... Chalk up another quirk to the English Language.

Which transmission are you using??

I can find 944 and 924's in pretty bad shape but with good trannies for dirt cheap around here...

I'm very interested in this project's progress!
