Damn Pot Hole

Well i didn't see it fast enough to avoid it. Hit a pot hole Saturday, more like a ditch in my opinion, anyway the tire was destroyed and rim was bent. So since i need another tire and rim i have some decisions to make. Since it's recommended to keep all four tire's tread depth the same on an AWD vehicle looks like i'll be ordering 4 new tires. These only had about 7k miles on them. the next decision is to find a another RH/Passenger side rim or just purchase 4 new rims while i'm at it. I was thinking about maybe replacing the OEM rims some time in the future but not right now. Motorsport seem to have a nice price and selection on rims for the SVX.
I've seen some rims at other sites mentioning off sets. What is this referring to? I'm assuming certain rims need to be off set to fit certain vehicles, at least it sounds good. How does that effect mounting or anything else?
DECISIONS DECISIONS. I have to do something soon i can't and will not ride around with just the doughnut.........

If i'm readiing this right if i have less than 10K miles and it's probaly close to about 7k miles, it shouldn't be a big problem putting one new tire on vs the other 3 being used?

With only 7k difference, you should be perfectly fine.

If you want to be extra safe, put the new one on the front and put a little more air in the one on the other side (maybe like 2psi).

Actually i just rotated the tires so it is the front tire that needs replacing. That would definitely save me some funds. Even though i want to upgrade to 17" rims but wasn't expecting to do it at this time. Just purchased the car last March and have already done the following:
=====================

Mar 23 2005 = Front Rotors – frozenrotors.com

Mar 23 2005 = Inner Tie Rods – Belair Subaru

Mar 24 2005 = Front Pads AKEBONO #ACT333 – rock auto

Mar 25 2005 = License Frame - AUTO BARN.COM INC.

Mar 28 2005 = Tie Rod install & Alignment – Belair Subaru

May 29 2005 = (58,910 miles) = 60K maintenance - (replaced PVC valve, air, oil, and fuel filters, replaced spark plugs, all lubricants, coolants, and brake fluids, replaced timing belt).
=Replaced the crank case seals and o-rings. Installed new water pump, re-sealed the oil pump, new accessory belts, and replaced the power steering pump o-ring. Sealed the rear lights with silicone for water leaks in the trunk. Replaced the control switch for the outside mirrors, installed new brake pads front and rear.

Jun 23 2005 = Genuine Austrailian Front seat sheepskin covers
================================

So i don't really want to put more money into the car just right now. The car runs like a whistle. Anybody have a right side rim in GOOD shape. If not i'll probably order one from Motorsport...........

I got an extra floating around my parents shop. I'll see what side when I go there this weekend. I can even arrange to meet you just on the Eastern Shore side of the bay bridge.
