FUNNY Cop Story

I got pulled over three nights ago for doing 65 in a 45 . The cop came to my window and asked for my license and registration. I gave it to him and then he said, " I'm going to have to ask you to step out of the vehicle." I thought, "Oh crap" but, I complied and I got out of my car. Then the most incredible thing happened. The cop asked if he could sit in my car!!! I let him and then he gave me my license back and said that he was a huge Subaru fan and actually had a Sti at home. We stood by the side of the road looking at my engine ( which is painted and detailed the same brilliant red as the car) and talking for about 10 minutes. While we were standing there something else happened that If I were to post it people wouldn't believe it and my whole incident would lose it's credibility. That's my story and here's to super cool cops everywhere. There aren't enough of them

Well now you have to tell us what happened after that. Let us decide if we believe you or not. So far, a cop pulling you over and checking out the SVX is not far fetched at all.

Ok here goes. I was heading north on Rt x and when I passed through an intersection with Rt. y I thought that I saw an unmarked cop approaching the intersection from my left but, I wasn't sure. So, while the cop who pulled me over and I were looking at my car about 3 miles further down the road the dispatcher came over his shoulder radio saying, " All units be on the lookout for a red car heading north on Rt. x. Possibly speeding." The cop looked at me and said, " Was that you by any chance?" I said that it probably was and he laughed and picked up the radio and said, " OK dispatch will be on lookout for red vehicle going north on Rt. x."
So, there you go. Believe it or not but, it's the honest and total truth. And allow me to repeat myself from the first post. Here's to super-cool cops everywhere. We need more of them.

I told him about the site and told him about the tri state meet. I think that he might try to come next year.

Lucky I get all the dicks, up in NH, not only did he give me a ticket but he towed my car and left me, my brother and two freinds on a dark and possibly dangerious situation. The car was towed because my mom had a ticket that she "didn't" pay. So any SVX owns in NH that are Laywers I sure could use you help in court.

last time i got pulled over i was driving solo in an h.o.v. lane (must have 2 or more passengers in vehicle but bypasses morning traffic). saw the cop up ahead and tried to hide by shadowing a bus (lol). he pulled me over, gave me the $100 dollar fine, and cited me for having a radar detector on the windshield, an air freshener on my rearview, and a tinted license plate cover(which he wanted me to take off). and i was late for work! not cool. definitely not cool.

It all depends on the situation

Just remember that that officer has to deal with people who lie, cheat, and steal all day long... He really never knows what he's getting into stopping you. If you're cool, chances are he will be too. but remember it is his job to enforce the rules... If he's a highway cop... he's there to maintain the order ... yes there are good cops and bad cops... I've been both...

Worst Fix it ticket

My worst experience with cops had nothing to do with speeding or anything. I had a tricked out 98 Civic hatchback, NOS, exhaust the whole bit. Anyway I'm pulling on the freeway and I see my blue headlights reflect off of an officers glasses(BRIGHTS were on) anyway he pulls me over and goes through my car with a fine tooth comb. Too low, too loud...etc, etc. Gives me the ticket and I go on my way. On my way back to work the next morning I get pulled over again, I hand the different officer my ticket and say "Officer I just got this last night"....MISTAKE. He copies it word for word. I'm thinking I'm going to get stuck with a couple of $10 fix it's. I get them in the mail and they are both $456 dollars. It sucked pretty bad. I still cry.....both about the tickets and for driving a civic..

Driving a Civic would be a ticketable offense on this board. Good thing your weren't driving a Neon, that 3-5 in solitary now . Stopping right away is a check in your favor. Turning on your inside lights at night is another way to earn points. What I hate is when the person keeps driving, or turns up another street, and tells me they were looking for a better place to stop. I decide where we stop, not you. They almost always get a ticket after that. As for the tinted plate cover, I try and cite all of them. Why have one? The only reason is because you drive like an idiot and don't want people to be able to read the plate. Speaking generally of course.

Hold on. What's with the civic bashing? I'm not endorsing the loud EXTREMELY annoying, half painted body kits, chrome tailights, green LED winshield washer emmiters. However, I know half a dozen very clean mid 90's hatches and coupes that will wreck any car on this forum. There is a shop nearby in Worcester where the owner has a 95 hatch with a b18a that is boosting 30lbs .
