Posi unit Avail.????

Greetings fellow svx'rs. Does anybody know of a manufactor that sells posi units for our cars? I'm not sure if svx's actually come with a posi unit in 2wd models, if so than my clutch packs are shot. The once and awhile one wheel peal is starting to be annoying. My car randomly does both tires, but most of the time one. Any help on this one?

I'm assuming you are talking about a front lsd right? If not SVX, Gen 1 Legacy Turbos and RXs have LSD rears. I'd imagine WRX Imprezas and STi Imprezas would as well.

I don't know compatibilty, but I would assume the front diffs are similar if not the same.

The rear diff on the SVX is an R160 with a viscous limited slip system. Its a pretty weak coupling. Other options include helical and Suretrac (both are torque sensing style), and clutch type LSDs. All are in the $900-$1150 range.

Helical, Suretrac, and clutch type LSDs are available for the 5MTs. Not sure if these would work with the 4eat R&P though. Price range here is also $900-$1150.

If you are interested, I can get you any of these units.

Sorry fwd LSD 4eat....

Ya sorry forget about that, i meant to say front lsd because mine is 2wd. I'm going to check into that site and see what they say. I imagine it's all the same and should fit because the gears i have came from a legacy(4:11's). Thanks and anymore info would be great!!!
