Cool Who have a SVX w/280 hp or more?

Checking to see if anyone have a SVX with some muscles. I know these cars can go fast.

I'm close, dynoing at 275hp at the moment. Trying for the 300 mark =)

Unless someone has a cold-air turbo, super charger, or custom built eg33, noone is going to push that much power.

Also, noone is going to be putting that much to the wheels with anything short of that or a huge shot of N02.

Is that at the tires, or the flywheel? Cause if thats the power you have hitting the ground, then i want to know your mods!

I'll second that request, and on what dyno?

Since its nearly impossible to get 275 bhp (or whp) out of an SVX without spending thousands of dollars and/or using some sort of forced induction or nitrous, I'm sure you're getting many people's attention with that statement. Would you mind listing the mods you done to get that HP?

I'd have to say that I was around the 260 area, probably more like 250 though... Not quite sure though on exact numbers...

I'm sure that if the car were still with me today I'd probably be working for slightly more... Maybe about 275hp would be my cutoff point...

I'm with Mychailo on this -- 275 at the wheels is going to require nitrous or a supercharger/turbocharger. Chris's claim of 250 at the flywheel is probably more realistic in light of the mods most people can accomplish without spending serious bucks.
Check my locker for the AWD dyno runs I had done on my 100% stock SVX with over 180K on the engine (~160 hp at the wheels)

Actually....

Xodi-SVX's car could be making 275hp at the wheels. I checked his post history and he bought his '92 LS-L from his mechanic that did the following mods:

I'm not sure exactly all that he did, I'll get him to list it all out to me sometime.

All I know is that thing is fast.
If Xodi ever did get that S/C put on, his car could be making some serious power at the wheels!

P.S. Complete thread can be seen here: Just bought a SVX...

275 All Motor At the wheels, oh im sure its possible, your going to have to do a serious port job, more fuel, and some timing adjustments...Ive seen some major power put out of some crappy integras with the timing advanced/retarded 50+ degrees...

But, then again, has anyone got that much power here? Nope...

But im sure its possible, Technically the new 250hp H6 is still a SVX motor...

230 bhp/160 whp = 1.44

275 whp * 1.44 = 396 bhp

Assuming the motor makes 240 NA hp (custom exhaust), then 396 bhp by forced induction would require something like 9 psi of boost. That's getting up there for an SVX motor. Probably a record for a street driven EG33.

I'd like to see a picture of that motor. If the whp number is for real, there will have to be an intercooler or water injection somewhere.

On the other hand, if its 275 bhp, then only about 2 psi of boost is necessary to hit 275 bhp if starting with a 240 bhp motor.
