There's not many cars I would trade my SVX for, but...

This one is definitly an exception: THE Mach 5

I wonder how hard it would be to mount the saws on an SVX...

Wow! Good find. I grew up watching Speed Racer as a kid!

2M for that replica is mighty much though...

Dude, did you even read the article? It has working buzzsaws, air jacks, and remote-controled pigeon, just like the show!

Honestly, I've never been a real huge fan of the show (even though I had a reoccuring dream about the "Mammoth Car" for like 3mos straight ). I saw the original auction for it 4yrs or so ago, but I had forgotten about it. Then I read somewhere that a live action movie is in the works, and it got me thinking about it again, I thought it was too cool to not share with the family.

$2 million? Where do you see that in the article? All I see is that the car supposedly cost $200k to build.

I'd be rather wary of taking it to the claimed 185mph top speed, though...

Too rich for your blood, huh? I found another place out in Cali that will make you a "stripped" one for a lot cheaper. But this one doesn't have as accurate of a body, and is really nothing more than a re-bodied Vette. And of course, no toys.

The Cheap Mach 5

You're 1 out of 2 today Mr.Pockets! The article does say 200K, not 2M. In my haste when I read it, I added another 0...

I want either the Batmobile from the origial Adam West Batman TV show. WAP! BAM! POW! or the Kaiser Darrin from the 'Boston Blackie' TV show.

With my luck lately I'll probably just wind up with the Osca Meyer Wienermobile.
(AND THAT"S NO BOLOGNA !)

In the general SVX babble on that date discussing GT4, you questioned where I saw a supercharged SVX listed. Darksied-X pointed out that there were two SVXs on that list.

SVX in GT4
