I knew that. Good news though, you're at the right site. In the subaru world, it seems the word "American" is perceived to have four letters.

It's good to know you won't be buying any more GM vehicles. That leaves more for me. If you are content with "mommy-cars" and underbuilt technology shows, then good for you. There's alot to be said for practicality...however, I for one am not interested in it. You only live once, make the most of it.

I agree. While I'll be the first one to say that the overall quality of Japanese cars are better than American, I wouldn't count out any brand of car. GM has some awesome vehicles in their line-up, most of which I drool over - '04 GTO, Corvette Z06, and Silverado SS. Shadow248 said it best "You live once, make the most of it"

you sure spend a lot of time on the Underbuilt Technology Mommy Car Network for someone who dislikes them so much.

you secretly want an SVX of your own - admit it.

If 5 minutes a week is alot of time, then you got me there.

I pretty much DO own an SVX of my own...oh wait, no I just fix it. Which means I spend more time with it than Mandi does.

You'd think that something has to be going on in her mind, but I haven't figured out what it is yet. She's ridden with me to hundreds of places many times, and still has no clue how to get to any of them. She can even drive to a place once or twice herself, using directions, and still have no clue how she got there. Thus, I can't stand to let ANY car be subject to that sort of neglect.

my wife was actually pretty good about keeping up her car maintenance when i met her, compared to most of the women i know. she kept a log and records of oil changes, etc. she really wasn't interested in cars, though - just a device to get her places. recently she told me she has grown accustomed to the acceleration of the WRX, and would really miss it if she had to drive something else. she went out and cleaned her wheels off the other day, too.

on the down side, i find her checking out cars now. she likes the Lexus RX300, 330's. i hope i haven't created a monster. i don't think she'll be going back to a base model Cavalier again.

You do all realize that Subaru is a GM car now right?. Saabs wrx should flop with most people, though the ones that do buy it will say that subaru copied saabs design im sure.

Subaru is not a GM car. GM has a small investment in FHI and has made a joint venture with the Saab Aero.
