Ok Mike, I'm going to bail you out here.....
I was also in attendance at the 10th meet (some of you may remember me, I'm the one with the copper car?) and I don't recall the discussion of the multiple steering wheel seams.....

Cool

She: Where you going, Honey?
He: Out to look at the SVX.
She: You do that every day, Dear. Why tonight? There's two feet of snow on top of it & it's late, Darling. ...and I'm so...so... uh...READY!!
He: Well, Dear, there's a controversy on the Network about how many seams there are on the steering wheel.
She: Really?
He: Yes - It seems (ha-ha) some '92s had like two pieces of leather sewn together around the wheel, & others had four pieces, thus the number of seams varies between certain models.
She: OK....and uh ...Why is this of significance at 11:00 PM while we're just about to celebrate the fact that the kids are finally asleep?
He: Well, remember when there was a poll about how many light bulbs were burned out along the bottom edge of the instrument panel?
She: Yes, you told me about it.
He: Well, tonight they're asking about seams & it's my duty to report the results to the forum. I'll be right back, Sweetie. It IS cold out - do you know where my parka's hanging? Oh - I'll need a flashlight. Do you mind looking for it?
She: Not at all, Dearest. You'll find the parka, the flashlight, the kids & me in the SUV on the way to my mother's house.
He: Huh!? What'd I do now??
She: GET A FREAKIN' LIFE!!
He: Geez - Women! I just don't understand 'em!

Ron (where'd MY actual life go?)

Down the SVX World Network drain.

Randy,

FHI switched to Argentine steer leather for the steering wheel covers during the '92 model run of the SVX because it was
cheaper than using leather from the BIGGER Texan steers.
So if we eat more staks the price of Teaxan leather will drop.

Ooh, ooh, me first - mine's a '92, VIN 1088897, built in 01/92, and it's got 4 seams. Next?
4 seams here (10/91)
