your ONLY option wihtout major customization would be the STi 6 speed gearbox out of the STi 2002-up rex.....no one is sure how much modification it will require...as no one here has seen one. They are alos few and far apart as im assuming very few are wrecked, 6gs for a new one

Talking not expensive....

its really not too bad for price...IF, and say again IF, you can do the work yourself, I have a guy from a local yard get me the stuff, 550 dollars for...flywheel, clutch cable tranny, tranny mount, pedals, shifter, rear diff, both packages have been under 50k miles, so with the exception of fluids and some cheap steel and a clutch...its all it costs...800 is what i plan on spending...although, it may be more becuase this time, im using a better clutch....take my advice, if you DRIVE your car hard, make sure u do 2

There are a couple of choices actually

One is the previously mentioned, virtually unobtainable WRX 6 speed. The cheapest I've seen a used one go for was $3700 on ebay about 6 months back. They can routinely be found for about $4500 (used). New versions will be more expensive.

The other choice is the Audi S4/A6 2.7 TT (twin turbo). This is also an AWD car. Audi KNOWS how to make high powered AWD cars, so its got the guts. The 4.11:1 gear ratio is also correct. You would have to make an adapter, custom axles, custom clutch. Not sure how the starter mounts either. These can typically be found for less than $3K used. Probably not worth the hassle compared to the JDM WRX box.

i wish i can do the work myself.....
1. no time
2. no knowledge....
which puts me in the square: 'get lucky and find someone who'd charge you cheap, or put up the money'
