All-Weather Drive!

Over the weekend I went from Rochester, NY to Philadelphia
for a wedding. I left sunny Philly yesterday and followed a nice Lexus, on the NE ext. of the Pa turnpike at speeds well over
100mph, for a long time. I cannot believe how stable this freakin' car is! Even with 30mph cross-winds, I was sucked down to the road but good. Then, after hitting the NY border in record time, it went all downhill. The next couple hrs. were spent in 0 visibility lake-effect snow, and temps in the teens! I received many odd looks from SUV owners as I passed them by, and saw countless others in the ditch. There was no other vehicle I would have rather had......and was still only an hour late.

Hey Tim!

Great to hear from ya! The ride TO Rochester is always a snowy/rainy one. We opted out this year and will be making the trip the day AFTER xmas. How many times I've made the trip from MA to Brockport and hit snow from Utica on......

I've got a great picture of our Forester after one of those 8 hour battles with the elements. It was just so beautiful I took a picture of it. All covered in ice and snow, with large icicles hanging all around. Both Subaru's are such a joy to drive in the elements.

I TOO love the look I get from the "BIG macho" SUV's as I speed by in my little sport GT!

Snow....It's a good thing!

That is a fantastic story! I miss having my SVX around now that it is so snowy.

Yeah, it's cool for a little while...I usually head straight to Buckman's Car Wash though after a trip like that. Then she sits
in the garage all squeaky clean, until the next road trip!
Boy, it sure is snowin out early this year! And lots of it!

The next time you come to Philly gimme a holler. We can meet up.

I sat home yesterday & watched the Giants play pathetic football.
I hope you enjoyed the wedding alot more than I enjoyed the game.

aaahhh memories...

Buckman's Carwash. It's an institution.

If you drive your car daily like I do, you make lots of trips to the local carwash. Today was wet, snowy, sandy, crap. I like the fresh snow BEFORE they mess it all up with sand and salt.

...course I also like to be able to get to work at a reasonable time, and the sand and salt make all that possible.

I hear 6 more inches by Thursday!

Wow! This is a snowy winter....and it isn't even winter yet...
