OEM Struts and GC Coils
Hey guys, hope someone can answer me quickly on this.
I have previously expressed that I have gutted and modified my OEM struts long time ago. Now a "bolt" system is on top of each strut, I can unscrew it anytime I want and crack open the strut, so depressurising it is not a problem for me. I have a question now, since I don't have access to Konis around here and will surely not ship Konis (shipping cost  ), can I Tig weld/do the proper modifications of the same GC kit on my OEM struts?I am interested in dimensions, strut diameter (around 52mm for OEM) and all such stuff that might come into the way. In other words, is the difference between Koni and OEM only limited to stiffness or something else? Thanks

I may be flying to India in December and will have a layover in Dubai.. I could fly the Koni's over and ship them from there....
