Tom
I had a tire that was losing air that I had replaced a few days after our adventure out there. This is most likely what he was feeling at that time.

I would be curious how you formed your opinion Tom, considering you've never driven her car nor ridden in it. Are you basing this tidbit of information on your end from 3rd party heresy?
Actually I would trust OT's word the same as my own.

And Tina, if you know the cause then I guess thats what it was. I seriously doubt a low tire would create a wheel spin condition for the fronts alone, but hey, who knows.

Re: Quick Change Update.

You have pushed this barrow so far the wheels are falling off.

Since Trevor introduced the Quick Change, and you gave it “the kiss of death”.
All the knockers that came out of the woodwork to ‘put the boot in’, have since either apologised to me by PM, or have been quite. You and your associates are the only ones still wearing the jackboots.

Let me tell you some thing about motorcars. There are three types of SVX drivers.
Those who drive it as a great Touring Car, fast and easy.
Those that drive it as a Sporty Coupe. Like mountain roads, Autocross.
Those that drive it as, ‘The greatest drag car’, just thresh the life out of it.

Whether the car has a Quick Change or not, will not affect the life of the car, in any case.
The Dragster driver’s will still break.
The Sporty driver will team it with the Power mod, and enjoy the experience.
The Touring Car driver will probably experience it rarely, like when needing a fast overtake.

It just won’t make a scrap of difference to the life of the car. So give it a rest, just take care of your own business, and let people do what ever they want to do to enjoy their car.

Harvey.

Re: Quick Change Update.

I, just Sunday evening, equipped my car with the quick change module. I have to say that it's not as I'd hoped it would be. Downshifts seem more powerful and abrubt, but upshifts don't really show much (some maybe) improvement compared with the SmallCar resistor mod. However, I in no way blame the product or the maker of it for my result. I am just imagining that whatever needs to be adjusted (whatever it says in the install manual of the QC kit) in the transmission, and I haven't given it any thought since I will be doing a JDM WRX 4.11 swap in the next few weeks. I guess we'll see then...

Re: Quick Change Update.

I'm not taking sides here. And I say this as a member, not as an Admin.

I do not have a QC, I don't even have an SVX anymore. I have no interest, nor disinterest in the QC.

But, how many times are we going to re-hash this? How many? There are so many posts about people's concerns here that anyone with half a brain here who does a simple search will have a wealth of information at their finger tips for them to make their own judgement call on this.

Concerns have been voiced, and those concerns are well documented. Most, if not all people who deal on the Internet live by "Buyer Beware", etc...

My point is, that you two arguing about it over and over and over and over and over and over again solves nothing on this issue and creates a lot of malcontent on this forum, and I don't like it.

This is NOT a QC endorsement, nor is it a warning against the QC.

This feels more and more like a personal issue to me than an issue of mechanical concern.

Once again, this is my opinion as a member/enthusiast, not as an Admin.

Re: Quick Change Update.

Harvey, you have my piece and my peace, Chris is right and the information is there for others to decide.

You are right, those three descriptions of drivers are going to be evident within any auto enthusiast community. The drag racers are going to be the first ones to break it.

There is much more to say, but the simple fact is, I would only be restating what has already been said.

Tom
