Say hello to Lucy

Lucy is a rare tri-tone USDM 92. Likely painted that way at the dealership.

We picked up this little number at a local meet for 1500. An engine rebuild is in process due to low compression on several cylinders. The interior is nearly flawless, and the body is a 9.7 out of 10. The only damage appears to be a ding on the hood right above the battery terminal (pretty common)

Lucy is scheduled to be painted solid liquid silver, a little lighter than SVX liquid silver. Sometime next week when I get the engine out and the engine bay stripped and cleaned.

Stay tuned.

-Patrick

But it won't be the rare tri-tone any more if you paint it solid silver!

Actually I'm torn on the tri-tone. We immediately all go "oh" and "aw" because we think "JDM". But to the average person seeing this car on the road, it might just look funky 80's.

Either way, this car looks as great in person as it does in the picture. It was a fantastic find for someone with the means to take care of its engine issues.

Glad I could be a small part in getting a SVX to a loving home.

A lesson for those that despair when you leave your card on a SVX and never hear back from the owner: I gave my info on NWSVX to the previous owner of this car over 5 years ago. She never showed up at one of our meets, but passed it along to the new owner when she sold it about 4 years ago. He also had intentions of attending an event, but never did. Then, about a month ago, he decided to sell it and remembered my card. He emailed me, told his story, and we just so happened to have a meet coming along in a few weeks so I invited him. The rest is history.

Never give up!

I actually highly prefer the JDM tri-tone color to a solid Liquid Silver. It is incredibly depressing to hear that you will be repainting such a rare vehicle.

Pretty obvious from my avatar but tri tone is the color for SVX. However your gray bottom seems bit darker than real one. Still nice though. Needs clear corner.
