Talking ANOTHER SVX...what to do, what do to!

Hey everyone!
Geez, it's been ALONG time since I've logged on. According to the log in info, I haven't logged on in over 2 years! I used to own a '92 SVX LS-L that I sold, it had 183k on it when it pooped on me. I'm car shopping again and found a 1993 Barcelona Red one! My heart still goes towards these cars, PLUS it would be HOT being the owner of a 2nd SVX! (Already have my personalized plate figured out) lol. I'm TORN on what to do. The car has 103k on it. It sounds like it needs a new drivers side rear wheel bearing, possible wheel alignment, since it pulls to the left a little. The rear upper panels have pretty much faded and lost their luster and will have to be repainted to make the car look better than amazing Rear trunk shocks need to be replaced The factory radio/cd has been replaced with a Nakamichi 6 cd in-dash changer. I think I was so excited to actually be in the SVX again that I probably need to look at it again to go over everything.....I didn't even look under the hood!!!! When I first emailed the couple (retired couple) they both emailed- said they had all of the records since the 'birth of the car' when I looked at it today they only had the records from 70k on....they are the 3rd owners. Having ALL records was VERY appealing to me, but since they don't....I'm very very torn. All of my friends think I need to move on to something 'new and better' alas that just makes me angry inside!! lol. So, I had to type it all out here, because only this group could relate. SO, if anyone responds THANKS! Take Care all.
-Casey.

Depends on price and were you sit financially. If the price is good and you have the money to repair it I say why not. If the desire is there go for it.

Seems like all simple stuff that needs to be repaired. Also, check out them service recipts. If theres a transmission on there recently, its a huge plus.
Also since youve last logged on, theres been leaps and bounds in usefull products and alterations. Even simple stuff like leather restore (do a search) helps us maintain our cars better.
In any case, best of luck with the possible new svx

Red flag: Was this a simple misunderstanding, or were they fudging the truth to pique your interest? If the latter, beware of this car. "Pulls to the left" would concern me, too.

I cant help but feel like Im on an old western train with Billy the Kid as the conductor

(Hijacked)

Just have a closer look at the car before you dive in. Check out things that are...you know...under the hood... Like the valve cover gaskets and all that hoohah. (Im sure being a previous owner you know the routine)
