Why won't my driver's seat go forward?

Perhaps there's a coin in the mechanism, but the driver's seat will no longer swing forward more than an inch or two.

I'd love to see a couple of ideas before I pull the seat (PITA).

Will it move back? Or do you already have it back as far as it will go? If you don't, try moving it back, and looking in the tracks for something that may be blocking the movement.......

Hey, Henry,

If it's a PITA, you have to be using way too much electricity down there.

The seat moves normally in the 'electric' mode - it both slides forward/back, and reclines.

However, it's impossible to get into the back seat from the driver's side because when the release lever is pulled, the seat moves only an inch or two.

When did it ever swing?

I don't know about anyone elses, but none of my SVX's have ever had a "swing" drivers seat. The only way I have been able to let people in the back seat is to push the button and let it slide forward.

If it was me Henry, I would be more worried about the 1-2 inches it does slide.

I could be wrong....

It is supposed to swing

SVX'in when you pull the lever on the top left of the drivers seat it is supposed to swing forward (I'd say it makes like a 75 degree angle when pulled). Henry, you remember dropping anything?

Dropping anything?
Sure! When the nitrous was installed the acceleration emptied my pockets more than once!

You're right - there's something lodged in the mechanism. Though I hate pulling that seat, I'll do it tomorrow for the money, and the weight reduction will probably help performance.
