Aww, that's so cute! I showed my boyfriend this and poked at him. Haha.

Kelli,

I know this is a little late but from my understanding red is one of the most exspensive coloors to make, all things being equal a standard Red would cost more than a standard Pearl.

BTW, really enjoyed meeting you guys at Reading. Your wife is delightful, though I never learned her name.
No Randy, we are not a 2 SVX family YET. Gail is actually very practical when it comes to spending money on herself. My good intentions were duly noted, but our more pressing need is for a Subaru Legacy beater that my 16 year old can learn to drive on, and for me to drive around when conditions are too bad for the SVX. I do hate to drive it to work when all the salt and stones are on the road.

I think in 3 years the timing will be much better and it will be Gail's 50th Birthday. By then maybe Harry will be ready to get rid of his red 97.

Matt

Mattski. Here's your beater. Your daughter will hate it but I'm sure she'll hate anything you pick out for her. It is only a short drive away! Just FWD but that is perfect for a beater car. Less mantainance plus the price!

Now you can spend the rest on another SVX!

Luckily for me, I do not have any teenage daughters, only two sons 16 and 13. They drive my wife and I nuts enough, thank you.

I have considered an older Legacy but I keep coming back to a 95 due to the presence of ABS and 2 airbags. A 5 speed can be had for less than $2500 around here.

Thanks for the heads up though.

Matt

Doot. Thought I read daughter in there! I know the airbags can be a comforting though although I do have a few scars on my face that prove they don't always feel conforting . The 90-94 Legacy beat 3/4 of the same class airbagged cars of the era in frontal crashes and abs was an option and standard on the LS and Turbos (same as the 95 and newers if you sub. GT for Turbo). Just trying to help your wife in her quest!
