I am not sure if this is just being lucky but I wrote a letter (hand written) to SOA asking for the manual for my 94 Legacy way back in the day. I was a teenager and just wanted to see if they would even respond. A while later I get one in the mail and I was as happy as I could be. At that point the brand really won me over for life.

The size of our owner's manuals have always remained constant from 1992-1997, measuring 5" x 7.25". But the black cases with the SVX logo are different sizes and formats. My 92 case measures 7.25" x 8.25" and is a horizontal format. My 96 case is smaller, measureing 6.5" x 8.25" and is a vertical format. .

Well, I tried this. I sent Subaru a nice letter. Would you believe that they found an actual 1993 user manual and mailed it to me FOR FREE?!? They even included an owner case and a nice letter. The owner case they sent is not original to the SVX of course. But man, you have to give them credit for doing this!! For something that is "no longer available" They took an extra step to find me one! Free of charge. Can you believe this!?! Anyway, some months ago, I found an SVX case (without a manual) on ebay that is the wrong year for the 1993, but I'm not complaining. I ONLY NEED A PEN NOW!!!! I hope someone might have one someplace. Thanks again for this advice; and it really gives me a thrill to know that Subaru might still go an extra mile if they can for their old cars. I mean, this manual they sent me is over 25 years old!!! Still looks fairly good. Now, does anyone have a SVX pen to sell?
