rack boots?

Anyone have any suggestions for where I can get some good rack boots? I just rebuilt my steering rack and I need some new boots for it too.

I could call my local rack and pinion shop, they normally have everything, for a really good price, if your interested,

Thanks for the offer. I just don't know what brands are good and which to avoid. I have found a few online, like Moog, Beck Arnley, and Mevotech. Has anyone else rebuilt a rack and had to buy boots for it?

ah, gotcha, for what it helps ive always been impressed with moog parts, Ive used ALOT of them on my 87 f150 and my 96 explorer, along with a few other odds and ends, I believe they are the ones who made my cv boots on my polaris sportsmen as well, (replaced alot of those from putting sticks through them!) never had part failures, only nature kickin there rears! lol.

cant say ive used any on the svx, but I would be willing to.

Thanks. I think I will try the Moog ones. They seem to be reasonably priced as well.

Well, after searching everywhere online and off, I found a best price of $43 each! I was hoping to find a universal boot that would work, but any aftermarket ones I've found have a list of what cars they fit and of course the SVX is not one of them

I even tried getting dimensions from one seller to see if the size would be close enough that I could make it work, but they don't have any dimensions available.

Has anyone else run into this problem? It seems like most boots are stretchy enough that if I found one of was a similar size that it would work.
I found one listing on ebay that said it fit over 100 different cars. Is our rack that much different from other cars' racks?
