Need proper specs for the TPS (92 manual appears to have a typo)
As you may have heard SVX TPSs (Throttle Position Sensors) are No Longer Available from Subaru. Yikes! We are investigating to see if another Subie model/year has the same electrical specs and innards so a bad SVX one might be resurrected. The '92 on line service manual appears to have a typo for the specs (see attached screen grab). Max resistance fully open 5K ohms, closed resistance 10-12K ohms?? Increasing as throttle is opened?? Should the closed resistance be 100-120 ohms? 10-12 ohms? Attached are the screen grab and photos of the innards we took after opening a dead one
We note that Legacys of the late 90's have the same closed throttle voltage spec of .5V as our SVXii so maybe the TPS have similar resistances so we could MacGyver the worn contact plate.

Bump to the people with the corrected specification (or an unused one to measure the resistance). Oh now have a photo comparing the 2 TPSii
