What's involved in replacing a front SVX fender?

I would like to know what is involved in replacing a front SVX fender? Also would either side be the same process. Particularly, I am wanting to know if the process is a simple bolt off and bolt on process or is there more to it? Is there any welding involved? Is there a double inner layer or anything like that? I'd like to know just how much of the original car needs to be messed with?
