Mouse Belts on a '94?

There is a red 1994 L listed on Autotrader, and the photos show mouse belts? Possible on a '94?

Mouse belts? I'm guessing automatic seat belts?

Re: Mouse Belts on a '94?

Some of the early model 1994 cars still had motorized seatbelts, especially the FWD L and LS models. Some early 1994 cars also had a single airbag.

Don't know these were cost-saving measures on the FWD base models. Most of the 94's I have seen were dual airbag, manual-belted LSi models.

.
It was only 94 LE models (all FWD and base) that retained auto belt and single airbag. They were all the first production runs of 94 and only offered in Laguna Blue and Barcelona Red (same colors that were only available on the 94 L FWD models). I can almost gaurantee they were used simply to use up overstock of parts leftover from ramping up 92 model year production run in anticipation of it selling like a "normal" car until that was clearly and quickly not going to be the case. There's literally no other reason.
