why is the most popular color the ugly (imho) dark teal. it doesnt show the body lines because of all the negative space created by the color. i want my car to look like gustalt. shadows. shadows that expose the bodylines its the same reason the red cars look wider. shadows.

They way that it changes color from blue to green with changing light can be a kick.

alot of people dont buy white because its not visable in cloudy, foggy or rainy conditions and it shows dirt. thats why my mom bought a red legacy turbo wagon. the dragon wagon as i liked to call it

Very true. The light where I am tends to flatter blue & red cars. Silver is Ok too. Just because a colour or style looks good in one area does not necessarily mean it looks so good elsewhere.

(I hear that yellow looks good in Kentucky)

I have seen the all pearlie, and then all pearlie with black roof (like mine). I like the black roof on it. It makes the top blend in with the windows. The all pearlie seems like too much white.

The local dealer had a new Pearl] White on the lot here for 2 years! The person who finally bought it said they were going to paint it another colour.

By the end of 1996, when the last of the '97 models came off the assembly line, FHI was using whatever it had on hand to finish the production run. '97 was a very short run anyway, so they didn't expend much creativity in selecting colors. Larry III gave you the answer to the tire size question, which again is simply a matter of economics. I don't think "saving wheel bearings" ever crossed their minds. They were cutting losses any way they could, tires, paint, whatever. On the plus side, the 55 aspect ratio tires worked just fine, produced less road noise and looked nearly the same as the more expensive wider tires. I've never heard anyone claim that the '97 models didn't perform as well as earlier models, despite the difference in tire size. Decreased handling, if any, is minimal.
