Shame, indeed.
If I hadn't honked the horn when I did, he would've probably pushed me out of the way and gone on and not even realized he'd "pushed" anything. I was a good six feet away from him and, in my panic, could not find the horn before he slowly pushed the fender in.

Good to "see" you. Don't be such a stranger.

ReRe: Nailed by King Kong

It kinda reminds me of when my car had arrived in Hawaii. I was at a laundrymat waiting for my stuff to dry, sitting out in front admiring the SVX. A little old lady gets in her Corolla which is parked next to me, puts it into reverse, cuts the wheel hard and slowly starts to back up. I'm watching and asking myself do I really need the entire driver's side of my car repainted... Nah, she knows what she's doing. This broad is every bit of 90 years old; surely she knows that she's about to... "Lady, NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-OOOOOOO-OOOOOOO!!!" She stopped within an inch or so of applying new, unique styling touches to my car. All this, only to return to MD and get nailed by these idiot kids.http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif

I'll try to post more often. I'm still not sure if I'm replying to posts properly. Not to worry, I should have this place figured out a few days before the 10th Anniversary Meet.http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/imag...es/biggrin.gif

The circle is unbroken . . . but . . .

I thought, for once, I'd get my car back on the day promised. Oh well, didn't happen. I'm okay with it. Seems they were not satisfied with their own work, so, they're going to re-do the paint this afternoon. They also fixed a loose bracket which was not the fault of the accident -- realigned the passenger's side door to close flush (those of you who know, know that it didn't -- and this was not a fault of the accident). He also said they went around and touched up some "dings," that were not a fault of the accident, plus, the "pins" for the garnish did not arrive with the rest of the parts -- they only arrived today. So, even though I did not get it back on the day promised, they seem to be taking their time to go above and beyond -- we'll see, when I pick her up . . . uh . . . tomorrow?

Argggg, I need a cardboard cutout SVX to put in the driveway or something..

Hhaha,

You know its amazing we even like these cars any more. Mine is broken as well. Stupid pulley problem.

It just makes me laugh how I swear like 90% of the posts on here is abotu how our beloved cars are broken again!

I swear I am so glad I have a couple of other modes of transport!

One note about the Yugo, a few weeks ago I was playing around on classifieds2000.com , the car section, where you can search for ANYTHING (bought my SVX off it!!!), and out of the million or so vehicles on it, they have ONE , count them ONE Yugo.

The link is here if you are interested. its pretty funny, its an '88

"A very rare economical (up to 40 miles per galon) fun car in California!! Yugo 88, coupe model 2-door white exterior grey interior. 4 cyll.eng. 4-speed, 73K miles, runs great, an excellent reliable foreign car. $1500. If interest, call 714-848-8458. "

whew. . i dont know where to begin with my comments on this description.

It seems like when the car is running great, most people don't post that their car is running fine. For the record, my SVX is running GREAT!!! I am having a great day for my car.

Yous got a problem wit dat bub?

<And . . . um . . . you sound like you have a *problem* with that?>

Yep. First....it's supposed to be a "sport" model...
Second....it a Daewoo.

Don

P.S. The Santa Fe tested tops recently in SUV crash tests; I noticed you had mentioned it earlier. They are selling like hotcakes here.

Blowd up

"..but sir, 9000rpm? This motor wasn't designed for that! I've never seen such valve damage..."

"Sorry....couldn't find the redline. Well it DOES say "Sport" on the side....this is your version of Hondas S2000...right?

PS: Two things.
1) You can't drop me off and take the SVX back to Kentucky.
2) New Yorkers do not say "bah" (That's Bostonians). We pronounce it "bahrrrr". I guess all us "Yankees" sound alike to "youse".
Hey, Larry. I just now found this post (sometimes AOL cuts me off at home, and I lose all "new posts.")

You're far too generous. BUT, If the time comes and I'm w/o my SVX, I'm taking you up on it! See you first (full) weekend of April 2K2!!!
